An event supporting local women experiencing hair loss from cancer
Volt Salons is gearing up for their second annual fundraiser in support of non-profit organization,The BeYOUtiful Foundation. The event will take place on September 8th, 2023 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Volt 71 in Bee Cave.
The occasion promises an evening filled with compassion, generosity, and beauty! Volt is extending complimentary services to all cancer survivors in attendance. The stylist team will offer hair services such as dry styling, haircut donations, tie-in colored hair tinsel, tape in hair extensions, and more while the Serasana wellness studio next door will offer therapeutic treatments. All of the proceeds from these services will go to the BeYOUtiful Foundation. The event will provide complimentary services to all cancer survivors.
Admission is included with any pre-booked service. For all others wanting to attend, admission tickets are $15 and include a complimentary welcome drink. The BeYOUtiful Foundation’s mission is to provide support to women battling cancer by offering wigs, hair pieces, salon services, and education around hair replacement. Volt Salons contributes hair donations to the foundation year-round, donating their guest’s previously used hair extensions. The salon also provides retail wigs, hair pieces and extensions for purchase at both locations. However, on event day, Volt will launch their very own Hair for Her fund - a donation-based, community-fueled account that will help provide financial aid for wig and hair purchases to clients in need. Moving forward, clients will be able to add donations to the fund at check out.
“For women, our hair is a huge part of our identity. Being able to restore someone’s confidence level is what inspired this fund,” said Brattain. “Over the past year, we had numerous clients generously donate over $12,000 in wigs, toppers, and extensions to friends in the community and we want to keep that going.”
Volt’s new Hair for Her fund will be sponsoring the purchase of a wig or topper for one survivor, to be drawn on event night. Volt is asking that the Austin community submit nominees in the area who may benefit from free hair replacement. To submit a nomination, send the name and contact information of the nominee to info@voltsalons.com with the subject “Wig Sponsorship Submission.” Thank you to Austin Moss Creations for kicking off the Hair for Her fund donations!
Ten percent of all retail, gift card and bar sales will benefit the Volt Hair for Her Fund. Attendees will be treated with a welcome drink, kombucha and light bites. There will also be an opportunity to try on wigs and toppers at Volt’s hair line demo station.
